Fixodent Plus Scope

I like the Fixodent scope product very much but the last four-five new tubes are terrible.  Not sure what you have done but whenever I use it, putting the cap back on immediately, and then next time I use it, there is hardening at the tip and I end up shoving something down the hold just so I can get more out it; however, it also feels like the adhesive is hard in the tube - you can feel hard lumps.  Please try and fix this because this holds by dentures better than anything.

I have been using Fixodent Plus with Scope for almost 2 years now and the last 4 creams that I have bought have been terrible, it seems that it's drying out and causeing lumbs in it. When I first started using it I thought it was a great adhesive, now after the last 4 tubes I think I am going to have to switch to another cream, not for sure what has went wrong with it but it feels like I have gravel in the roof of my mouth and have to apply it 3 times each morning just to be able to use what I have on hand. It is a great price for it but if your not happy with it then why spend your money on it.

Fixodent Plus with Scope

I have been using this product for the last month. I enjoy the hold and the favor is good.

Magic

I like this product better than Seabond or Poligrip, but it just doesn't seem to last very long. I sometimes have to reapply several times during a meal. Kind of frustrating, especially when you're dining out. And yes I have tried the maximum hold formula and I find that there's not much difference except in the price!

Longevity

But whenever I use even if I put the lid on right away it's gets hard at the tip and always have to shove something down the hole just so I can get more stuff out it's rather annoying but only thing that holds my dentures in place

I like this product

Love the Precision Tip Nozzle and the all day hold. When removing, the adhesive stays on the denture, not your gums. The only thing I don't like about it is the Scope flavor. I only use on my bottom denture and the only time I taste the Scope flavor is when I'm eating. Tastes like you've cooked your food with scope. Is there a Precision Tip Nozzle product without flavoring?

Holds Great, But ...

I was using the regular formula and was having trouble with my bottom partial on the left side feeling like it was I’ll fitting . I bought a tube of the Fixodent plus   Precision hold and seal and   Put a thin line on my bottom partial I was able to eat , I put a thin strip then hold it down fir about 30 seconds it seems to work very well . I have scheduled to see the dentist gor a adjustment as I’ve only had them 6 months so maybe that will help even more but as of now I feel much better and can eat and chew

Great product  nozzle  tip is great for precision  but the burst of mint while I'm eating does not mix well .I won't buy product with scope anymore.

Great product minus scope

The fixodent plus with scope is the best hold and taste for dentures. I highly recommend it.

The best denture glue

I like your product a lot. I use it everyday but I have gotten 3 tubes of the scope mint in a row, the punched out piece gets stuck in the tip and everytime I have to stick something in the hole to open it up to use it.  Your product is the BEST but this problem is really annoying. The reason for the 4 on the quality is because of having to unplug the tip everytime I use it.

Overall good quality

I love this one. I just have problems with when I take my dentures out at night, there is always some of fixodent left on my gums. I rinse my mouth out with warm water and it goes away.

Fixodent with scope

Have used fixodent for several years, it's not what is used to be. Clogging is a daily problem. ..using a toothpick or pin to unclog it, massaging the tube etc, still happening. Very frustrated.

Clogging issues! (Scope)

This was the first time I bought Fixodent denture Cleanser in a tube and was disappointed because many of the tablets were broken. I don't think this was a good packaging idea.

I see 1 and 2 star reviews for this product and there is a common thread-clogging at the nozzle.  This can be avoided by not allowing moisture of any kind to contact the applicator tip.  Moisture catalyzes the adhesive to solidify well into the tip, clogging it.  Be sure to dry your partial/denture completely before applying adhesive.  Avoid contact with partial/denture by applying adhesive while hovering just above the surface.
The product does a great job of holding for 24 hours or so but dissolving just enough to remove for cleaning easily.  The Scope aspect is a nice touch.  Every competing product tastes like I imagine diatomaceous earth tastes like.

Does the job

Been using this product for years, but the constant clogging has become an issue. I've thrown away alot of tubes due to this problem..

love this product but....

I have used this product for years and never had a problem.  The last two times I purchased Fixodent Plus it would not come out of the tube.  The first time I thought the cap didn't fit tight enough and the cream would dry up at the end.  I could poke it with a pin and squeeze the stuck cream out and I could use it once, then it would do the same thing the next day.  The second tube that I purchased none of the cream would squeeze out.  I cut the tip down to make the hole bigger but that didn't help. I tried soaking the tube in hot water and that didn't help either.  I wonder if the ingredients have changed.

Will not squeeze out

I have used Fixodent with Scope for a few years now. What I have discovered lately is something has changed either with the packaging or the product itself. I usually pick up a multi pack and I have noticed with the last few tubes it is always hardening to the point where I have to get a toothpick or something to unplug the end, I have never had to do this before, now I have to every time. This is a major pain and will make me look elsewhere for my denture adhesive.

It seems that a lot of people besides me are having clogging issues with this product.It is a waste of money and the product should be pulled from the shelves

Clogging issues

This is the second tube I have purchased which has clogged after a couple uses, and becomes extremely difficult yo un-clog. This is no value to it if the product will not come out of the tube. Possibly the outlet is to small?

Clogged tube makes it un-usable

I bought this product only to find it does not come out of the tube!!!! I bought a 3 pk and only one tube worked!!!!! I guess I have to go back to poli grip!!!

Wasted 2 tubes!!!

The fixodent with scope is really great. I am new to dentures but my daughter has used it for years. I have been buying it for 3 years. When i got my first set they were to big and the dentist said i was crazy. I had no teeth for a year till my insurance rolled over and just got teeth and they are twice smaller than the ones I said were to big. I had to use a lot of the fixodent for them now very little and seem to hold all day. Thanks guys

Holds great and taste good

over the last six months, the adhesive tends to not be able to come out of the tube, even though there is more that 80% product still in the tube. I have to cut a small tip at the end of the tube to access the adhesive. I have had to throw away at least six tubes due to not being able to get the product out of the tip. If this continues to occur, I will just have to look for another product. Otherwise, the product is very reliable, and I would hate to have to go elsewhere.

Tube Issues

For the second time I have to throw away an almost full tube of the Fixodent Plus Scope due to clogging. I have tried everything to clear the clog. Pins and or hot water will not clear the clog and I can not use it.

The tube keeps clogging.

Is it possible to make the fixodent with scope adhesive thicker or resistance to acidic saliva for the sake of bottom dentures lasting longer in a person's mouth. For the most part it's a great product it's just that it only last for a couple of hrs in my bottom plate when it's in my mouth for a couple of hrs.

Needs improvement

Unfortunately, Giant Food Stores have stopped selling this formula... They now offer the max hold...

I like this combination!

I have been using your product for more than 20 years. picked up 2 tubes of the Fixodent Plus w/ Scope. Once I opened the first tube, I could not get anything to come out. Tried sticking a large pin down the small hole and tried squeezing and could not get but a small amount out, Was afraid I would break the tube if I squeezed much harder. Will find it hard to recommend this product. Will go back to using the regular tube with the wider hole.

I have tried a few different adhesives and I gotta say, thank God for fixodent. I bought the new fixodent plus scope, I put it to the test immediately, made a bowl of cereal(the real test) and not one piece of food got between my partial. This is the first time they stayed in, no food got in there, I put them on around 3am, they are still holding and it&#39;s noon!!!! Amazing thank you

Great stuff

The tube plugs and I can&#39;t keep it flowing unless I stick a straight pin or paper clip in the nozzle to clear it. I am a senior citizen and on a limited income, so it is a waste of my money buying this product. I like it the most of all the denture adhesives available, but this plugging problem is having me consider other brands of product.

Pluggung Problems

I have used this product for 14 years, I love this product!! But for some reason the last couple of months, when I get about half way through the tube, it doesn&#39;t want to come out.. I don&#39;t know what the problem is. I have thrown quite a few tubes away, that were only half empty. I just couldn&#39;t get the rest out. I will keep buying this product because I think this is the best for holding longer and I love the taste!!

The best product!

I have bought Fixodent (two brands) for over ten years and they use to include coupons inside the box but do not now and the adhesive does not last any where as long as it use to. In other words I have to readhere my dentures after three hours and the packaging states not to use more because of zinc overdose dangers, what can I do?

Loose Early

When I received my new dentures, they didn't fit as snug as I would have liked and my gag reflex was working overtime. I decided to give this a try to help hold my top and bottom in place. It helped with my gagging and held incredibly well. The cream has lasted all day with frequent drinking and meals. It leave my mouth feeling fresh while using it because of the Scope. Highly recommend.

Holds great

I have tried so many different glues, adhesives, etc. You name it, I've tried it! And this Fixodent, by FAR...is the best there is on the market!!! I absolutely love this product!!! I have been using it for years and it never lets me down. it always works. It always has that refreshing taste, never bitter. Thank you Fixodent!!

Its the best!!!

I'm new to wearing dentures, and 2 weeks after extractions my denturist suggested I could start using adhesive. I bought several different kinds powder , strips and gels. And so far this has been the best product I've used. I apply while getting ready for work and then work 12 hour shifts. I don't have to worry about my dentures slipping when I use this product.

Highly recommend for other new denture wearers

I just received my new dentures (full upper) and I went to the pharmacy the same day and purchased Fixodent first as it was recommended by my Denturist, I don't know how the others work yet, but unless I run out of Fixodent I won't be using anything else! .. I couldn't even remove them after about 6 or 7 hours later when I got home the first time! It actually frightened me a little lol. Highly recommend this product.

Incredible product

I have only had my upper about a month so it's currently not fitting without adhesive. I have bought every kind of adhesive from Wal-Mart based on advice from family and friends. Fixodent with scope is the only one I still use. The pads were too much work, the powder made a horrible taste, polygrip didn't stay well and when mixed with saliva made a foam but the fixodent has kept them secure all day.

Great product

This product is great as long as you don't eat! When you do the denture let's go. Makes it very embarassing as well as infuriated! The denture is not poorly fitted. I have been back to the dentist. This product is worthless and I would not recommend it at all.

Find a better product.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Fixodent plus with scope. I no sooner secure my dentures and it has to be replaced. This occurs whether I have eaten or drank fluids. I have taken to removing my dentures to eat or drink. The original gixodent is far more dependable. I can secure my dentures in the morning and not worry about them the rest of the day--including after meals. Very disappointed in Fixodent plus with scope!

Very disappointing product

Nozzle clogs, and once it's unclogged, there is a sandy substance mixed with the product. Terrible taste.

Terrible packaging

Fixodent has been part of my routine for years. It gives me the confidence to eat and speak without worries of my dentures falling out. I like the narrow tip that gives you more control over how much and where you want the adhesive placed. And Scope added is just a bonus!

Gives confidence when you need it most.

I have dentures and I use this product everyday. It works great and does not have a bad taste either. I will recommend this product to anyone that has dentures. I use it every morning and it keeps my dentures in place all day even when I drink coffee. You need to try it.

I have used about every kind if fixodent made. I like it the best of any denture adhesives.The freshness of the scope is great for your breathe. I have recommended it to several friends & family.

I like freshness of scope & the tip on this tube!

Very disappointed! Doesn't last as long as the regular pink box one! My teeth are sliding all over the place by 4:30 pm and there is not a trace of product left by that time. I have found out that sweets speed up the dissolve factor even quicker! Going back to regular as soon as this plus one is used up!

Doesn't hold or last as long as the regular

i use this product about every three days. Every time i try to use it the nozzle is clogged. i have to try to unplug the tube in order to use it. Most of the time I end up having to throw the tube away because if I squeeze the tube too hard the tube ruptures and then the adhesive is all over the place. This product should be easier to use and there should be a way to keep the tube from clogging. The fix is simple. This is the second tube I have had to throw away. It is getting to expensive.

I would definitely recommend this adhesive to anyone that has dentures, I cannot seem to get the amount of time the tube will last though.

Awesome product

Not sure if it's the Scope or what, but i HATE this product. I've had dentures 25 years, have used the original pink Fixadent until this last purchase. I decided to try with Scope... I've got lousy hold and it breaks up and oozes out... very disappointed...

I do like the precision tip applicator which makes it very easy to apply only the amount you need without getting too much and having to wipe it off. As far as my fit I could not tell any difference, but I have never had trouble with that. I can eat Apples and corn on the cob without any problems, as I said I am very fortunate! So as for the problem with small seeds, I could not notice any difference, they still seem to find their way in occasionally. Do I think Fixodent is a good product? When i take them out the only thing i had a problem with that the after taste is horrible and i have to drink a lot of juice to get the taste out, but other than that they are great.

I am very happy with the plus scope, I have never used the one with the scope and was surprised with the clean taste it gave me, the Fixodent worked great and the taste was much better.

After trying out Fixodent Plus Scope denture adhesive, I have found my new favorite product, one I will continue to use as my brand and variety of choice when it comes to holding my partial plate. I found I still had the secure hold of Fixodent, my usual brand of choice to start with, but with a clean, minty and fresh taste. The taste of the Scope in the product lasts and lasts throughout my day, giving me a very pleasant taste while also giving me confidence that my partial plate will hold, no matter what I am doing and no matter what I am eating. It's comfortable and works well at keeping a seal and keeping food products out of where they don't belong. Everyone knows the annoying problem of getting a hard piece of food in between your gums or the roof of your mouth, and I found this hardly ever happens with Fixodent. So why not use a long time favorite denture adhesive with a good reputation, and have your mouth taste good while you are at it. Plus, it will help keep those choppers in and avoid having them fall out into your soup the next time you go out to lunch or dinner with the girls or that special someone! Wouldn't that be embarrassing?!! Although you might be his most unforgettable date after that one!

Love the Fixodent with Scope

I think the Fixodent denture adhesive is wonderful! I love the smooth way it applies and you only need to use a small amount. I can eat an apple again! My teeth were so loose before I hated to eat anything with seeds....now I can eat anything! I can chew gum again. I don't know how I never tried this before.

i tried this product and based on that i recommended it to others. i spoke with 2 others that i hadn't spoken to before and i actually passed out one of the coupons i printed off to a customer looking at the product in food lion. they thanked me and bought it. i also gave them my email and asked for a review and they did that. i told then i was a buzz agent. the other coupon i handed out i gave to an acquaintance that i have that was more than happy to try it. i told them also about being a buzz agent.
